early

Thank You, Jesus, for the CCF breakfast club this morning! What an answer to prayer. Thank You for meeting me where I am and for being so endlessly patient. Thank You for stirring a longing for evangelism in me, and for bringing it within reach...

revival

What a week! There have been so many thoughts, so many obstacles, so many breakthroughs, so many attempts at change. Thank you to everyone who has listened and been patient with me. I am such a stubborn learner--in math, in dance, and in life.

I'm really excited about starting this blog...I had one in livejournal in high school, which I'd like to import into this one soon, and I checked, I started it in June of 2004. That was forever ago. Blogging has always been a place for me to work through the hard places God is taking me, and it has always been a place to really be honest with myself. There's no reason to pretend things are going okay when they're not in a blog. So here's to honesty...

We were talking at the 2:42 leader meeting on Sunday about finding ways to allow people to see us at the feet of Jesus. To see us like Mary, choosing the "one thing that is needed." It is my hope that this blog will be a way to shed some light on the work Jesus is doing in me--thank goodness He's so patient, for "He who has begun a good work in you will complete it" (philippians 1:6).

You know my name
You know my story
still You’ve taken on the world just for me
i am amazed that You hear me speaking
You listen close to every word i say
who am i to be loved this way?

help me remember the day You won my heart
and paid my way to freedom with Your love
help me imagine the beauty of this gift
a grace that i am so unworthy of
but You’ll never let me fall away from You
You know my name
